National Museum Week focuses on the national treasures our country possesses. From modern art to antiques, more than 400 different museums display their finest works. All museums are joining the theme this week in their own way: 'Discover together our real gold, closer than you think!' This will be done through a host of special activities such as lectures and poetry afternoons at the Allard Pierson Museum, a Golddigger tour at the Hermitage and Brazilian carnival at the Tropenmuseum. On Sunday, April 14, the official conclusion of National Museum Week 2019 will take place with the "Golden Hour" event at the Amsterdam Museum, set up especially for millennials.

Who will participate?

In Amsterdam, many museums such as the Stedelijk Museum, Tassenmuseum, NEMO, Museum van Loon, FOAM and the Cromhout House are participating. Check out the website for the full schedule and program full of activities.
