Lovers of Amsterdam's ring of canals beware. The Grachtenhuis offers a glimpse behind the monumental facades. Italian photographer Silvio Zangarini photographed stairwells and became fascinated by the infinite directions of the stairs in canal houses. Using modern photographic techniques, the Turin-born photographer portrayed the different perspectives through which the staircases seem to distort. The exhibition 'Stunning Staircases' can be seen at Museum Het Grachtenhuis from March 19 to June 21.
