Who says a good burger has to be made of meat? At the Vegan Junk Food Bar, they have burgers that would win the battle with a meaty burger any day of the week. The Notorius Sumo is served with (vegan) cheddar, fried onion rings, spring and fried onion mix, pickles, jalapeños and their special sauce. Sounds like a mouthful? The Burgermeester is the mayor of the burger village. She was already serving delicious burgers in the city before the burger bar hype took over the streets of Amsterdam. The meat is well seasoned with spices we haven't tasted anywhere else. They also use a spicy mustard in their sauce, this gives the burgers some depth and the toppings are crispy and fresh. Just a great burger all around. The only downside? The spices may not be for everyone, but it's seriously worth a try for anyone looking for the best burger in town. This restaurant may seem like just another fast food bar on the ramparts, but Burger's offerings are quite different from those of a fast food chain.
