Marcel Wanders at Stedelijk

Marcel Wanders (Boxtel, 1963) is considered one of today's leading designers. He is internationally known for his furniture, interiors and idiosyncratic art direction. The Municipal Museum presents the retrospective exhibition "Marcel Wanders: Pinned Up - 25 Years of Design" from Feb. 1 to June 15. The largest survey of Wanders' work ever. The exhibition includes designs from Wanders' entire oeuvre, covering the period from the late 1980s to the present. More than 400 objects including furniture, lamps, wallpaper, packaging, jewelry, interior photographs, design drawings, prototypes and experimental work. All iconic works from Wanders' oeuvre will be displayed, including the Set Up Shades lamp (1989), the Knotted Chair (1995-1996), the Lace Table (1997), the Egg Vase (1997), the Airborne Snotty Vases (2001), the New Antiques furniture (2005) and the Skygarden lamp (2007).
