Located on Hobbemastraat in the heart of Amsterdam, Taminiau's pop-up store will provide space for the artworks of Adam van Breen, Edwaert Collier and Cornelis Norbertus Gysbrechts. On Thursday, April 11, both Jan Taminiau and Martine Lambrechtsen (Specialist Old Master Paintings Sotheby's) will be present to speak to the public. Come learn more about art and the Old Masters, as well as the relationship between art and fashion over the years.
"I have always had a deep fascination with paintings by old masters. With this exhibition, I hope to get a glimpse of the vast history and romance woven into these works. Which will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience for all who visit it. I chose these paintings because they speak directly to the pieces in my own fashion line, and also to the dynamic space in which they will hang.
The works of Edwaert Collier and Cornelis Norbertus Gysbrechts not only contain a timeless beauty, they reflect the contemporary aesthetic of my store. Where clothes hang in reused art boxes and remind me of my first museum exhibition at Utrecht's Centraal Museum last year. The jewel-like colors in Van Breen's landscape immediately reminded me of the rich tones rooted in my collection, while the folds of the fabric hearken back to the sculpted sleeves and intricate textiles threaded through this new line," said Jan Taminiau.

Opening hours
The temporary pop-up store TAMINIAU will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 11 and 12.
