Deus Ex Machina opens flagship store and restaurant
At Herengracht and Herenstraat you will recently find Deus Ex Machina, a flagship store (Herenstraat), restaurant and bar (Herengracht) of the famous Australian surf and motorcycle brand. The huge canal house is completely decorated in the style of the lifestyle brand. A valhalla for fans of the tough and fashionable Deus Ex Machina.
At Deus Ex Machina you will find an all-day restaurant al where you are welcome from morning to night for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Breakfast is inspired by the delicacies of the different countries where Deus has branches, such as Bali, Milan, Sydney, Harajuku and Amsterdam. In addition to drinks, the bar serves the tastiest burgers (veggie and non-veggie) and salads. With 10 different, international beers on tap and their own Deus Benzin Pilzener. In the restaurant at the back of the establishment, you can go for an evening of fine-dining in a luxurious setting.
Furnishing
The industrial and stylishly decorated restaurant/shop is full of Deus motorcycles, surfboards, vintage furniture and huge plants. Inside the store you will find awesome clothing and accessories from the motorcycle- and surf-inspired Australian brand. A special hangout showcases numerous exhibits and films. Films and documentaries made by Deus itself.
Founders
In 2006, founders Dare Jennings and Carby Tuckwell conceived Deus ex Machina, a lifestyle brand where all their interests, from motorcycles to surfing, art, music, film, clothing and travel, converged. Soon the gentlemen discovered that with Deus they appealed to an international group of like-minded people. Lovers who gathered in the Deus stores to meet and share their passions. The brand thus became a culture with a large fan base around the world.
