American Pancakes with gold leaf eat at Moak's

Moak Pancakes has been known as the go-to spot for American Pancakes for a while now. The pancake makers have since opened a 3rd location, there are delicious vegan options on the menu and you can go there for the most expensive pancake dish in the Netherlands.

If you are looking for a place for both guilty pleasures and healthy breakfasts and lunches, Moak Pancakes (formerly Mook) is the place to be. This very nice spot with two locations in Amsterdam serves a lot of different American Pancake dishes as well as healthy slow juices, richly filled salads and plant-based yogurt bowls with vegan granola and fresh fruit. The atmosphere is always good there, partly because it all looks spick and span and oldskool hip-hop is spinning. A perfect weekend hang out if you ask us.

On the menu at Moak Pancakes

Choosing is hard at Moak Pancakes. On the menu, you'll find nearly 20 varieties that all look equally delicious. From toppings like fresh fruit, chocolate sauce and yogurt with granola to salmon, pulled chicken, grilled vegetables and four vegan varieties. Two favorites are The Mancake with bacon, cheddar, grilled onions and maple syrup and The Rich and Famous with yogurt, granola, fruit, dates, pistachio nuts and edible flowers. And then the most recent highlight on the menu: The Gold Digger. The blueberry pancakes are served with a glob of Saffron pistachio ice cream, melted pink chocolate, caramelized pineapple and 22-karat gold leaf. All this on a Versace plate with gold cutlery and a glass of Luc Belaire Rosé champagne. This dish will cost you €100 but then you have something.

Opening hours

Moak Pancakes is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays you can go there from 08.00 to 17.00. In addition to the West branch, you can now visit the Center at 144 Jodenbreestraat and South at 11HS Ferdinand Bolstraat.
