What's going on at the NDSM wharf
The event runs over three days and five sessions. Friday, June 19, the first session will start at 5:30 p.m.. Saturday there are two sessions: a daytime program from 10:30 and an evening program from 17:15. Sunday will have the quarterfinals in the morning, followed by semifinals and finals starting at 16:00.
The games follow each other in rapid succession. Three-on-three basketball on a half court means short, intense games - teams alternate quickly, the schedule tightly scheduled almost all day. You watch from temporary bleachers around the central court.
The teams coming to Amsterdam
Amsterdam attracts the heaviest names from the world circuit this year. World No. 1 Ub from Serbia is coming to the NDSM wharf, as is Miami - the winner of the 2024 Amsterdam edition. Shanghai and Antwerp also confirmed their participation through the hardseed process.
This is not an exhibition or local tournament - these are ranking points at stake for teams on the Olympic qualifying list.
The Amsterdam stop is a fixture in the World Tour calendar, which this year also passes through Chengdu, Zadar, Shanghai, Vienna, Ulaanbaatar and Marseille before the final in December.
The 3X3 Festival as a frame
In addition to the games, there is the 3X3 Festival. Your festival ticket gives access to both the tournament and the festival area at the NDSM Wharf. Around the basketball court there are side events focused on urban sports, music and fringe programs - in line with the street culture background of the sport itself.
The NDSM wharf as a location is no coincidence: the industrial site in Amsterdam-North suits the character of 3×3, which has its roots in streetball and urban sports, and is now played at the Olympic level.
