Fabrique des Lumières presents Dutch Masters

In the heart of Amsterdam, where the echoes of its industrial past still resonate in the walls of Zuiveringshal West, Fabrique des Lumières opens its doors to a breathtaking visual adventure. Here, where art and technology merge, the new exhibition "Dutch Masters and Mondrian" offers an unprecedented journey through the world of Dutch artistic greats.

"When art meets light, magic is created that illuminates the soul," says Jasper, one of the guides at Fabrique des Lumières, as he welcomes visitors at the entrance. The space itself is a work of art; the hall's vaults, once filled with the roar of machinery, are now the canvas on which light and color dance.

The first exhibition, "From Vermeer to Van Gogh, Dutch Masters," brings the works of these legendary painters to life in spectacular fashion. "Here we see how these masters captured the everyday, meticulously illuminating every detail," Jasper says, pointing to the vivid projections of cityscapes and winter landscapes. "Notice the light, how it illuminates each subject as if the sun itself were shining inside the hall."

Accompanied by the gentle tones of classical music, the space feels almost sacred, a temple dedicated to the art of observing and capturing life. Each corner of the hall offers a new perspective, a new world to step into.

Next, in stark contrast to the serene atmosphere of the Dutch masters, is the exhibition "Mondrian, An Excess of Color. "Mondrian's work is an explosion of color and form, a visual spectacle that invites the visitor to explore how simplicity can resonate with complexity," Jasper explains. The musical accompaniment here ranges from the minimalist sounds of Ólafur Arnalds to the energetic rhythms of Quincy Jones, reflecting the dynamic nature of Mondrian's art.

In addition to these two main attractions, Fabrique des Lumières is also introducing "Infinite Horizons," a contemporary exhibition in the Studio. This experience offers visitors a journey through abstract, infinite landscapes, a symbolic exploration of what art can be and achieve.

The three immersive exhibits can be seen daily at Fabrique des Lumières. The immersive art center is open Monday through Thursday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
