Do Not Disturb, exclusive nightclub in basement W Hotel

Beneath the cobblestones of downtown sits Do Not Disturb, a bustling nightclub in the basement of W Amsterdam. Dark blue velvet couches, polished chrome tables, electronic music and great table service define the atmosphere here. Three nights a week, the place is packed.

On Spuistraat, on the corner of the W Hotel, walk down a flight of stairs and step inside the bustling Do Not Disturb, an exclusive nightclub, from the folks at The Entourage Group (among others. MOMO, Izakaya, Mr. Porter and The Duchess), and where the world's most famous DJs have already taken their place behind the decks.

Those once inside know exactly why this place exists. The concept is simple to describe and at the same time difficult to replicate: strangers becoming friends, with energetic music, upscale drinks and high-end service as the binding agent.

The interior is spread over several levels. Dark blue velvet seating alternates with polished chrome tables, making the space at once warm and edgy. The light is low, the music is right. House music is the musical DNA of the evening, from start to finish. No genre excursions, no compromises. Those waiting for a weekday pop tune are in the wrong place. Those who want the evening to move somewhere are in the right place.

The 360-degree bar is the centerpiece of the space, and on the best nights, the entire room feels like one big table.

The W Amsterdam hotel, also called the Double You Hotel, is in the city center for a reason. Do Not Disturb benefits from that location but at the same time stands apart from it: you don't have to stay there to have a good night. The 360-degree bar is the centerpiece of the space, and on the best nights, the entire room feels like one big table.

The Asian fusion restaurant 'MOMO Restaurant, Bar & Lounge' has been one of the most successful restaurants in Amsterdam since its opening in 2008. The restaurant combines classic French bistro gastronomy with the passion and informality of Asian cultures, but with a modern and unique twist.
