BagelBoy: The tastiest bagel now also in the Spiegelkwartier

The Spiegelkwartier has added a hearty breakfast and lunch spot: BagelBoy. Home of the Amsterdam sourdough bagel with coffee, matcha, juices and cookies "that stay." The third location brings the concept to the neighborhood where you'll find all the great galleries, antique dealers, jewelers and restaurants.

BagelBoy is built on one idea: sourdough bagels that are baked every day-with that light chew and crispy crust. The menu is recognizable and precise: LOX (salmon + cream cheese) on everything bagel, a BEC (bacon-egg-cheese) for those who want hearty, and veggie options with avocado or egg. Coffee follows suit; those who don't want caffeine grab the signature matcha. And yes: the chocolate chip cookies have their own fan base.

The establishment at the Weteringschans marks the arrival in the Mirror Quarter-museums and galleries within crawling distance, streetcar and subway around the corner. The neighborhood website puts BagelBoy neatly on the map; BagelBoy itself reports online "our new location is open" with this address in bold. This makes it an ideal stopover: before your gallery itinerary, after a museum visit or as a kickoff to a day downtown.

Inside it is light, sleek and friendly. The counter faces the baking flow; you order, wait briefly and perch at the window or on the bench outside. Service keeps pace without being rushed; to-go runs smoothly for those who stay on the go. Because BagelBoy also has other locations (Jordaan & De Pijp), the menu feels familiar-but the Mirror Quarter spot has its own run: creative crowd, museum-goers, locals who come to get their regular bagel.

"A good bagel does one thing: make your day instantly better-BagelBoy got it."

The strength is quality without fuss. No fuss, just good ingredients, a dough that's right and combinations you know-with just enough twist to keep you coming back. So BagelBoy quickly becomes a neighborhood habit: your favorite toppings, the same barista smile, and a cookie "for later" that rarely makes it to noon.
