The upscale shopping mecca on the Nieuwezijds will soon offer pizzas from Toni Loco, chicken from Van 't Spit, sushi burritos from Sushito, burgers from The Butcher, noodles from China Supreme, richly filled pitas from Bepita, Greek street food from Lios and Japanese/Peruvian delicacies from Limalima. In addition to the restaurants, The Food Department offers several bars such as a beer garden with specialty beers, a cocktail bar, a coffee bar and a central bar.
Starting in April, Amsterdam will have another reason to head to Magna Plaza when The Food Department breathes culinary life into the iconic building on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. Amsterdam's newest food court presents 3 bars and 16 food stands hosted by well-known Mokum restaurants.
The former post office is currently undergoing a massive metamorphosis. In addition to the launch of the culinary floor, the stores are also getting a refresh and, after years of being taped up, the windows will once again offer a magnificent view of Dam Square, the Royal Palace, Raadhuisstraat and Spuistraat.

The Food Department in Magna Plaza is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. all days of the week.
