On the spot where the illustrious club Exit used to be the mecca of Amsterdam's gay scene, the new gay club NYX recently opened its doors. Under the motto "after nyx the sun rises," the famous Reguliersdwarsstraat finally has its gay nightclub back. In the club that feels underground, with a fat nod to Berlin, gays dance shoulder to shoulder with straight people. The three-story club is characterized by its industrial interior of brick, concrete, rusty iron and glitter-finished support beams.
