All the Rembrandts now in the Rijksmuseum
This entire year, the Rijksmuseum is celebrating the 350th anniversary of the greatest Dutch master of the Golden Age: Rembrandt van Rijn. The exhibition All Rembrandts includes 22 paintings, 60 drawings and more than 1,300 rarely shown prints from the Rembrandt collection.
The Rijksmuseum holds the largest collection of works by Rembrandt in the world, including some of his most famous works, such as The Night Watch and The Jewish Bride. Recently, the museum acquired the spectacular wedding portraits of Marten Soolmans and Oopjen Coppit, making its collection of paintings even more complete.
The masterpieces and numerous lesser-known drawings give the viewer a complete overview of his life. The exhibition offers a unique view of Rembrandt van Rijn as an artist, storyteller and innovative person. The exhibition highlights different phases of his life and the use of different themes. From his younger years, his family and friends to his milestones and surroundings. The most complete overview of his work ever.
The exhibition is accompanied by a program full of events, tours, lectures and workshops. All in tribute to one of the world's greatest artists.
The Rijksmuseum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the year.
