In the Spaarndammer neighborhood you will find the brand new Highlights of Holland, an interactive museum that highlights the most beautiful aspects of the Netherlands. The museum offers a dynamic and interactive experience that excites young and old alike. Board a virtual canal boat that takes you through time along iconic Dutch waterways, or discover the artful cycling experience that offers a fresh look at our cultural landscape.

The museum, conceived by Mark Wijlhuizen and Stefan Coppers, opened its doors in late 2025 in the impressive Magdalene Chapel. It offers ten thematic areas where visitors can experience the rich culture of the Netherlands in creative and educational ways. Each zone is an invitation to discover the many highlights of our country, such as the spectacular tulip field.

The initiative even promises frequent updates and new programming, so there is always something new to discover.

"Highlights of Holland manages to capture the essence of Dutch culture in a playful and educational way."
