Fabrique des Lumières is known for its immersive, sensual, audiovisual light shows featuring animations by famous artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Gustav Klimt, Salvador Dalí and Jimmy Nelson. In the former factory hall where industrial furnaces once glowed, projections of the amazing underwater world now undulate along the walls.
The journey begins with The Sea. On a monumental scale, you see waves breaking, seagulls flying along the sky and ships disappearing into a horizon of light. The fluid movements and music make you feel almost physically at sea. It is grand and soothing at the same time, evoking memories of summers at the coast.

This is followed by Foreign Nature, which shows nature in more abstract forms. Here you float through colorful patterns, organic structures and almost otherworldly landscapes. It shows how wondrous and strange nature can be when magnified and distorted. The combination of beats and visuals makes this part a hypnotic experience that is hard to escape from.
"At Fabrique des Lumières, the ocean feels so close you can almost taste salt on your lips."
The third show, Protect the wonders of the deep sea, adds a clear message. You see coral glowing, fish swimming around in a dreamscape, but also images that remind you of the fragility of these ecosystems. It is poetic, not pedantic, and for that very reason it comes in hard: this is beauty that must be protected.
What makes Fabrique des Lumières so unique is that you are not just looking, but standing in the middle of the projections. The floor, walls and ceilings turn into one big canvas. You walk through them, get carried away, and become part of the artwork. It doesn't matter if you are an art expert or just curious: everyone feels the same sense of wonder.
