Anyone planning to attend the Peaches show at Melkweg on August 7 can get a sneak peek the night before. On Thursday, August 6, the venue will host a one-time screening of *Teaches of Peaches*, a 102-minute documentary that chronicles the life and work of Merrill Nisker (better known as Peaches). The film blends archival footage with scenes from The Teaches of Peaches Anniversary Tour from 2022, painting a portrait of one of the most important figures in the electroclash scene.
Behind the camera are directors Philipp Fussenegger and Judy Landkammer, who also edited the film. Cordula Kablitz-Post produced the film and wrote the screenplay. Peaches herself composed the music for the documentary, which adds an extra layer to the film: she not only tells her own story, but also gives it a soundtrack. The film had its Dutch premiere at IDFA, in the Rabozaal at Internationaal Theater Amsterdam, before making its way to the Melkweg theater.

The screening isn’t a standalone event, but part of Club Chrome, the multidisciplinary festival that Melkweg is organizing around WorldPride 2026. This fits perfectly with an artist who has been a fixture in queer culture for years, and whose work extends beyond just making music. For visitors attending the concert the following day, there’s an added incentive: with a concert ticket in hand, you’ll pay just 6 euros for the film screening—half the regular price.
