The success story behind The Seafood Bar began in 1984, when Fons de Visscher opened his first fish store in Helmond. With his family name, a future in the fish world seemed almost predestined. The store grew into a household name in Brabant and eventually formed the basis for the first restaurant on the Van Baerlestraat in Amsterdam, opened in 2012. Together with his son and daughter, Fons built The Seafood Bar into a successful family business with several busy locations.
