Whereas you will find plenty of museums and stores in and around Museum Square, there is a lack of good restaurants. Except for Restaurants Rijks, Restaurant Stedelijk, Cobra Café, Brasserie Keyzer and Blushing, nice cafes, coffee bars and restaurants in the area are poor. Surely it would be nice if, in addition to good museums, the area became a draw for culinary gourmands who linger in the evening on the heated terraces and in the restaurants.
Wizzard of Oz
The Burger Room offers hope. Gordon's restaurant is completely decorated according to the Wizzard of Oz theme. Everything in the restaurant recalls the 1939 American musical/fantasy film in which 15-year-old Dorothy Gale finds herself in the magical land of Oz after a tornado, where she has amazing adventures with the scarecrow, the tin man and the frightened lion. Fun already!
