The distillery all began with the creation of Union 55, which takes its name from the five steps of maceration over 55 days. The rum infused with sea salt and botanical herbs was inspired by international chefs and mixologists and is now served in many a bar in Amsterdam.
Create your own drink during the 2.5-hour Distill your Own workshop. Here you will learn all about the distillation process, the wide variety of botanical ingredients and different methods and techniques to create unique flavors. At the end of the workshop, your own personalized bottle will be ready to be drunk. Fun fact: the Spirited Union Distillery operates entirely sustainably and entirely on solar power.
