On November 8 and 9, ARTIS will open its doors for free to children up to 12 years of age. This special promotion, in honor of Amsterdam's anniversary, offers a unique opportunity to discover the city's green oasis. Curious young explorers will have access to both the ARTIS park and museums such as Micropia and the Planetarium.
During this special weekend, children can immerse themselves in the wonders of nature. Special children's activities guide them through the diverse ecosystems and animal species that ARTIS is home to. Every nook and cranny of the park tells its own story; from the majestic elephants to the colorful butterflies in the Butterfly Greenhouse.

Free admission also allows children and their companions to visit Micropia, where the microscopic world comes to life, and the Planetarium, which offers a journey through the universe. This educational experience not only enriches knowledge, but also inspires them to appreciate and protect nature.
"In every childlike discovery lies the promise of a sustainable future."
ARTIS treats offers a wonderful opportunity for children to playfully explore the interconnectedness and complexity of our planet. This gift to young Amsterdammers is a wonderful gesture, fitting within the festive context of Amsterdam's anniversary. It shows that access to nature and knowledge about biodiversity can be accessible to everyone.
