EYE Film Museum: discover the world of cinema
The EYE Film Museum is all about cinematography. In the beautiful, futuristic-looking building on the IJ in Amsterdam Nood you will find 4 cinema halls, an exhibition space, a store and restaurant with perhaps the most beautiful terrace in Amsterdam.
The EYE Film Museum on the north banks of the IJ is the center for everyone who loves film. The futuristic building focuses on learning about and immersing yourself in film on different levels: film as art, film as entertainment, film as cultural heritage and film as a means of communication.
In EYE you will find 4 comfortable movie theaters where film lovers enjoy the latest arthouse films and the finest restored classics. In addition to functioning as a cinema, EYE offers exhibitions, festivals, educational programs and much more throughout the year. In all activities, EYE's rich collection is always the starting point.
EYE manages a collection of approximately 40,000 films, spanning the entire history of film: from silent films to the latest digital productions, from Russian avant-garde to American mainstream.
The EYE Film Museum is open from 10 a.m. every day. Closing times depend on the last screening.
