The building has a past that most sports halls can't match. For years, Christie's art auctions took place here, and you can still see that history in the space: high ceilings, a monumental look, details you don't just break away. That SportCity has put a fitness club here is a combination that works out well. The large gym on the first floor feels spacious, the equipment is from Technogym, and outside is the Vondelpark.

Club manager Jet runs the business, and the team of thirteen personal trainers provide the guidance on the floor. Among them: Tom de Niet, Mark van Paassen, Jan Volmer, Rev Etnel, Jasmijn Homan, Seth Switser, Nick Hiemstra, Mark van der Rijt, Laura Pels, Tim Linthorst, Bas de Jong, Ritesh Hackmann and Priya Biharie. In addition to the trainers, there are in-house physical therapists through FysioCity, who can help you from rehabilitation to improving your performance, and nutritionists for those who want to address their nutrition as well.

One of the more notable components is Technogym's Biocircuit. That's a circulation workout where you go through a full schedule in a short time, with machines that are automatically set to you. On the second floor is the Loft, a studio for small group training in groups of up to three people. A personal trainer puts together a customized program. It's a little different than just walking around a large room. The Zen Studio offers space for (hot) yoga classes, and the group exercise room has a wide schedule: from boxing and spinning to pilates and dance. The wellness area features a sauna, steam room and cold shower, with Marie Stella Maris products in the locker rooms and showers.

One of the more notable components is Technogym's Biocircuit, a circulation workout that takes you through a full schedule in a short period of time.
The location in Oud-Zuid, right on the Vondelpark, is not the cheapest neighborhood to run a fitness club, but the property justifies that choice. A membership also gives access to all 120 other SportCity locations in the Netherlands, for those who are relevant. But most members probably come here for this building, this space, and that view of the park.
