Score unique items at the Bas Kosters Studio Sale
The big spring cleaning; you know the one. This year lovers of the work of designer Bas Kosters are in luck, because his studio has to go too. The clean up will result in a Studio Sale on Friday May 3 and Saturday May 4 where a large collection of exclusive items will be sold.
Dutch designer Bas Kosters is known for his colorful, imaginative designs and use of unusual materials and prints. He has regularly shown his works at national and International Fashion Weeks and has had collaborations with major brands such as Bugaboo.
In an interview with the Parool, he says, "I choose a creative collection rather than ready-to-wear. For example, recycle cut or leather scraps or buy up old batches of denim. My best pieces are made from old, broken umbrellas, which I pick up off the street. Then I find them so sad, lying there like that, sad that nobody even bothers to throw them in the trash. Then I say: well you come with me. You belong with me.'
During the sale, you can expect a little bit of everything. From clothes and samples from his collections to accessories, shoes, show styling, books, mannequins and vintage items.
Address and opening hours
The sale will take place on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4, from noon to 8 p.m. The Bas Kosters Studio is located in space 10 in tower 1 on the 13th floor of the World Fashion Centre. The address: Queen Wilhelmina Square 13.
