On June 10, 2026, Dennis Huwaë and his team at star restaurant Daalder will reopen its doors at the spot where it all began a decade ago. The current location on Postjesweg will remain the setting for the signature Daalder experience until May 2, after which the restaurant will relocate to the heart of the Jordaan. Currently, there is still bistro Féline there, whose reservations continue until the end of May.
Over the past decade, Daalder has developed into one of Amsterdam's most distinctive fine dining restaurants. With a Michelin star in its pocket, the restaurant is known for its international signature, refined techniques and at the same time accessible, relaxed atmosphere. That combination of precision and energy will be retained, but will soon be given a new context.

The choice of Lindengracht is no accident. According to the team, the move marks a return to the essence: a more intimate setting, more focus and an environment that is entirely in service of the culinary experience. Whereas the past few years were all about growth and experimentation, the focus now shifts to refinement and deepening.
This movement fits seamlessly with a broader development within Amsterdam's gastronomy, in which experience is becoming increasingly personal and small-scale. Daalder is responding to this by not only returning to its roots, but also creating space for an additional concept that further expands the total experience. Exactly what that entails remains under the radar for now.
“Real progress begins where you dare to return to the core.”
With this move, Daalder underlines its position as one of the city's most dynamic restaurants: constantly evolving, but always true to its own signature. A rare balance between ambition and authenticity that seems to be coming to fruition precisely in this return.
