The Jaap Eden Beach in Watergraafsmeer promises to be the hotspot of the summer. From May 2 to September 1, celebrate summer in your own city. On weekends, the city beach is open from early morning until late at night. And on Thursday and Friday afternoons the gates open from 4 p.m. onwards.
Beach Club JAAP
Café JAAP will be transformed for the occasion into a real beach club where you are welcome for breakfast, lunch and drinks. Besides the fact that you can relax on the city beach, the terrain also offers numerous activities for young and old. Every weekend there are various sports activities and there is a huge monkey cage where you can get your claws into.
Free activities for youth
Various studies show that youth in the city today (partly due to lack of space) move much less. This has to improve, which is why this summer the Jaap Eden City Beach offers a place where youth can play safely. Various free activities with instructors will be organized to get youth moving. Activities that are enormous fun and that also stimulate all motor skills. For adults, there are several (new) summer workouts at different levels.
