909 Festival is the annual electronic music festival in the Amsterdamse Bos, near Amstelveen. The focus is entirely on techno and house. The festival site is in the middle of the greenery, so you are constantly standing among the trees as the bass comes through. The crowd consists of lovers of underground electronic music, with few distractions besides the music itself.
The festival was established in 2011 by Amsterdam-based organizer Loveland, known among others. Loveland Festival, which has long been involved in techno and house. The name refers to the Roland TR-909 drum machine, a classic within electronic music. From that idea, the concept was designed as a "back-to-the-core" event: no large-scale show elements, but a keen selection of artists and tightly tuned sound systems.

909 Festival takes place in the early summer season and has grown from a one-day festival to a full weekend. The 2026 edition is scheduled for June 6 and 7 in the Amsterdam Forest. Spread across multiple stages there, techno and house will spin throughout the weekend, with international headliners alongside local DJs and live acts.
- Saturday, June 6: Adam Beyer, KiNK, Mall Grab, Folamour, Octave One, FJAAK, Speedy J, Marcel Dettmann, Héctor Oaks, Anfisa Letyago.
- Sunday, June 7: Paul Kalkbrenner, Eric Prydz, Maceo Plex, Pan-Pot, Ben Böhmer, Jeff Mills, Len Faki, Mano Le Tough, Dax J, Benny Rodrigues.
909 Festival also plays a role within the broader electronic music scene in the region. Along with other Loveland Events events, it contributes to the status of this area as a place where techno and house are taken seriously. The combination of the forest, the weekend format and the underground approach makes the festival recognizable to regular visitors as well as attractive to new fans.
