24H Oost showcases cultural and culinary discoveries
Know Your City. Under the motto '24H - Ontdek Je Stad', Amsterdam & Partners organizes a showcase every 3 months, each time putting a different part of the city in the spotlight. Discover hidden cultural, sports and culinary gems. On Saturday, October 26, the light shines on Oost.
On Saturday, October 26, all Amsterdammers are invited to (re)discover Amsterdam Oost. With over 50 activities, the district will be on for 24 hours. In a low-threshold way you will get to know local entrepreneurs and the best places in Oost. Come eat, drink, dance, enjoy, sniff culture and get inspired.
Starting the day off right? After a yin yoga session, enjoy a vegetarian breakfast with coffee at the Mirror Centre. Rather wake up to singer-songwriters Raoul Michel and Carly E.? At the Tapa Theatre you can enjoy a tasty breakfast accompanied by short entertaining theatrical performances.
Besides live music, interactive theater, dance and art, you can also enjoy delicious exotic snacks in the Meevaart during Culture Connection Oost. Frisian restaurant Thúskomme is swapping typical Frisian meals for international dishes made with the help of local residents especially for 24H Oost.
Restaurant C uses unusual temperatures and special techniques in the preparation of both food and drinks. During 24H Oost you can get to work yourself with nitrogen and hot temperatures to make your own cocktail.Beer lover?Not one, but two Amsterdam breweries open their doors to introduce Amsterdammers to the art of beer brewing. At Poesiat & Kater, visitors can join a winter BBQ after a tour, and at Bruut, too, they can take a peek inside the brewery.
