Mart Visser has been in the business for 25 years and will present his 50th haute couture collection this fall. Time for an exhibition of his finest work. In a temporary museum on the Herengracht, the famous couturier shows the ultimate synergy between his three disciplines: haute couture, ready-to-wear and artwork.
The monumental canal house is being transformed into a museum and concept store for the "Beyond Context" exhibition. Raw, bare rooms contrast with stately period rooms. The ideal setting for the presentation of Visser's fashion and art. Light, movement, images and music ensure an optimal experience. The visitor takes a tour through his creative brain.
Mart Visser debuted his first Haute Couture collection in 1992. For the exhibition, iconic pieces, hats and objects from his archive are interspersed with designs from the couture collection winter 2017-2018. In addition, a selection of show successes and red carpet dresses from Renowned Holland will be presented.
