Krankjorum is a young maker collective from Amsterdam that develops a special blend of theater and rave culture. Their concept, theater rave, creates a unique experience where audiences don't just watch, but get swept up in an atmosphere of vibrant beats and physical performance. In doing so, spectators see a performance that is simultaneously a rave night: with live DJ music, raw and dynamic movements, and chaotic but purposeful interaction between players and audience.
With their approach, they break open the traditional safe formats of theater. They target creative night owls in Amsterdam looking for something different from usual nightlife or classic theater nights. Krankjorum's theater raves challenge and blur the lines between watching and participating.

Recently they were on stage with "UNDER CONSTRUCTION," a production in collaboration with the Westergas Foundation. This performance was still in the development stage and showed a new interpretation of their theatrical rave concept, where the work in progress was clearly palpable in an energetic presentation. Krankjorum often organizes its events in places like Westergas, a well-known location for creative and cultural activities in Amsterdam.

With this innovative concept, they contribute to the city's cultural diversity and appeal to a young, creative target audience that is looking for experiences outside the familiar frameworks of theater and nightlife.
