Erwin Blumenfeld was introduced to photography in the Netherlands where he shot mostly portraits. In his Parisian years, the German focused on fashion photography, in black and white. From the moment color photography made its appearance, he transformed his original compositions in black and white to color.
Foam Photography Museum is showing the color photography of influential photographer Erwin Blumenfeld until April 14. The female body and death were the German master photographer's greatest sources of inspiration.
