CAMARAT is not a standard restaurant, but a place that feels like an evening with friends who can cook a little better than you. Born out of friendship and rooted in the character of Noord, everything here is about being together, sharing and experiencing. This philosophy is reflected in what they call ‘The New Noord Cuisine’: recognizable dishes with a modern twist, inspired by France and Scandinavia.
Seasonal produce plays the starring role on the menu, often prepared on the charcoal grill that creates deep, smoky flavors. Think plates that invite sharing, but at the same time are refined enough to make you pause for a moment with each bite. What makes this place really special is the direct connection with its neighbors: Chateau Amsterdam, the Netherlands' first urban winery. Behind glass walls you see how wine literally matures next to your table in wooden barrels, tanks and amphorae. The result? A wine experience rarely so tangible. During the Urban Wine Tasting you will taste five local wines, from fresh blends to full-bodied red varieties, each with a story from grape to glass.
