Chic dining on the Amsterdam waterfront

Amsterdam has more waterfront restaurants than any other city in the Netherlands. On the IJ, on the canals, along the Amstel, on a slipway and on a former pirate radio station: there are restaurants and bars everywhere where the water is not just a view but part of the address. These are the best.

The list Best Waterfront Restaurant in Amsterdam ranges from chic to relaxed, from Michelin-starred on the IJdok to a pancake in the woods by the lake. A few addresses are at their best in summer. Enjoy our recommendations and these wonderful gems that add color to Amsterdam.
