Suki Matcha’s move to 49 Nieuwe Spiegelstraat marks a new chapter for the business. While 89 Elandsgracht was previously its familiar address, you’ll now find them at a new location. The core of the concept, however, remains the same. The matcha comes directly from tea farmers, without unnecessary middlemen in the supply chain. This ensures that quality remains high and the price for the customer is fair. It’s an approach that has been central from the very beginning and is now being continued unchanged by the team at the new location.

The inspection process is intensive and requires expertise. Every batch that arrives at the shop is meticulously assessed by hand by tea masters. These experts have over forty years of experience, so they know exactly when a harvest meets Suki Matcha’s high standards. This constant monitoring forms the foundation for the products you’ll find in the store. Whether you’re looking for classic ceremonial tea or a quick latte, quality is always guaranteed by this rigorous selection process.

At Suki Matcha, the dedication to the product is evident in even the smallest details of the packaging and preparation.

In addition to its pure varieties, Suki Matcha is known for its creative approach to the beverage. The strawberry matcha, in particular, has become a highly sought-after product that draws many people to the store. It’s an example of how they make matcha accessible without compromising the quality of the tea itself. In addition to beverages, they sell various accessories. These include bamboo whisks, also known as chasen, and handy storage tins. These tins, decorated with a striking koi fish design, are specially designed to protect the tea from external influences.

The store’s interior design seamlessly complements the sense of calm that comes with drinking matcha. It’s a place where you can momentarily forget the hustle and bustle of the street. The storage tins aren’t just functional—they’re also meant to be a permanent part of your daily ritual at home. When a tin is empty, you can easily refill it with the special 40-gram bags. The team is happy to share their knowledge about the culture and use of matcha. Their passion for the product is evident in every conversation. At Suki Matcha, their dedication to the product is evident down to the smallest details of the packaging and preparation.
