The concept revolves around one thing: time. Natural fermentation, high-quality flour, and a team with a background in fine dining that knows what happens when you don’t rush the process. The result is bread that actually tastes like bread, and pastries they don’t cut corners on.

Wolf started on Wolvenstraat, expanded to Utrechtsestraat and Rozengracht, and has now found a fourth location in the Zuidas. Four locations in the city, all based on the same principle: craftsmanship as the starting point, the neighborhood as the target audience. The name on the facade and the logo were designed by Studio Morf. That ‘W’ in the logo isn’t just a random font—it’s shaped like a grain of wheat, a nod to the grain that sets everything in motion. The brand identity is inspired by Amsterdam’s canal-side buildings—sleek yet instantly recognizable.

The space on Trompenburgstraat is located in the heart of a neighborhood that’s bustling with office workers on weekdays but is much quieter on weekends. Wolf cleverly capitalizes on this. Open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week—so whether you’re heading out early for a meeting or want to pick something up for home on Saturday afternoon, the shop is open. The interior matches the other locations: sleek but not cold, with an authentic bakery feel without veering into shabby chic.

These croissants have long been considered among the best in town: generously buttered, light and fluffy on the inside, with that signature flaky crust.

For a long time, the Zuidas has been a neighborhood where you could enjoy a good lunch at a chain restaurant but had few options for takeout. Wolf fills that gap—not with a formula that’s scalable at the expense of quality, but with the same concept that works just as well on Wolvenstraat and Rozengracht. Chefs who cook, flour that makes a difference, and time you can’t buy but can take.

Restaurants

Dat een bakkerij tegelijk brood, croissants én pizza verkoopt klinkt rommelig, maar bij Wolf werkt het.
