Amsterdam Uncorked, organized by Pitch PR B.V. under the leadership of Harriet Boekholt, is designed as a serious trade fair that positions Amsterdam as a gateway between international winemakers and the Dutch market. The first edition took place in June 2025, followed by the second in March 2026. This is not a consumer fair with tasting glasses and cheese cubes, but a day for people who buy, serve, or advise on wine.

The masterclass program is what sets Amsterdam Uncorked apart from a regular wine tasting. Cees van Casteren MW, one of the few Masters of Wine in the Netherlands, teamed up with Peter Arijs of Rioja DOCa to lead the masterclass ’50 Shades of Rioja’: a session on grape varieties, subregions, and styles within that region. Marco Rensma, owner of La Grand’Halte, took visitors on a journey through the wines of the Maghreb region, with Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia taking center stage. These are countries that are barely on the radar of the average wine retailer, but here they were given an entire session.

De Kookfabriek in Noord is a logical choice for this type of event. The former industrial hall has the space needed to accommodate more than 70 exhibitors without feeling crowded. High ceilings, concrete floors, large windows: the interior makes no effort to be anything other than what it is. That fits perfectly with a trade show that doesn’t pretend to be anything else either. Producers present their wines at tables, while professionals walk by, taste, and chat. Networking at its most down-to-earth.

Four master classes in one afternoon, each focusing on a different region and offering a different perspective.

The timing of Amsterdam Uncorked is no coincidence. The 2026 edition took place on March 12, exactly three days before ProWein in Düsseldorf, Europe’s largest wine trade fair. International producers who are already traveling to Germany can add a stop in Amsterdam to their itinerary. It’s a smart move that expands the event’s reach without requiring an additional marketing budget. For Dutch professionals, it means they can taste and source wines both locally and internationally in a single week.

Culture

Meer dan 70 wijnproducenten uit de hele wereld op één locatie, en toegang gratis voor iedereen die professioneel met wijn bezig is.
