Patta started small in 2004, but grew into an address that people fly over for. Not just for the shoes, but for what the store represents: a place where streetwear and culture come together, built from the city itself.

Behind Patta are two Amsterdam natives: Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt. Not investors who saw a gap in the market, but two people who were in the culture themselves and made a business out of it. They started with curated sneakers from brands like Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Converse and Reebok, and expanded that to include their own clothing line. The collaborations they have made in recent years speak for themselves. The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 appeared in multiple editions and sold out each time before most people got a decent look at it. More recently, they teamed up with Joe Freshgoods, a name that carries heavy weight in the world of limited-edition sneakers.

The store on the Zeedijk has its own decor that fits what Patta wants to be: not a sterile sneaker temple but a place with character. Those who walk in will find clothing in addition to shoes, its own app that gives you access to launches and raffles, and a community program they call ‘Each One Teach One. That program revolves around exclusive drops, events and a behind-the-scenes look. Patta is also at home in London, but the Zeedijk is where it began.

The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 appeared in multiple editions and sold out each time before most people got a decent look at it.

The Patta Running Crew brings people from all over the city, literally.
