Bakermat is more than just the main act here. He is also the curator, the man who decides who plays alongside him. For this edition, he has chosen Bart Skils, a name that has counted heavily in the Dutch techno and minimal scene for years. Skils is known for long, hypnotic sets that methodically build up a room or venue. That he is on the bill here says something about the direction Bakermat wants to take with this edition.<\/p>\n

Thuishaven is a logical choice for this type of event. The site at the in re Western Docklands has built a reputation over the years as one of the city's better outdoor venues. Concrete floors, industrial character, and that view of the IJ in the background. No grass and festival mud, but a hard, open space befitting dance music. On a summer Sunday, that works well.<\/p>\n
