Mystic Garden: Echoes of Amsterdam was conceived as a kind of musical mirror of the city. The festival is the new city version of Mystic Garden Festival and is organized by the same team, with founder Coen van Dongen in the background as the man who once started Mystic Garden. Whereas Mystic Garden is known for its own world, Echo's of Amsterdam aims to show just what is going on in the city's electronic music scene right now.<\/h2>\n

For one day, the grounds in Sloterpark will be divided into different areas, each with its own sound. Multiple stages run simultaneously, so you are constantly surrounded by layers of electronic music. You'll hear a tighter techno groove in the distance, closer to a more melodic set, and in between the murmur of audience members flowing from area to area. It's set up like a true city festival, compact enough to wander, large enough to be surprised.<\/p>\n

The programming revolves around artists, organizers and collectives active in today's local music and nightlife scene. No isolated international showcase, but a snapshot of what is happening here now: DJs, crews and concepts that are normally scattered across clubs and smaller events come together in the park for one day. This gives the festival a clear line of content: you are walking through Sloterpark, but musically you are in the middle of the city's nightlife.<\/p>\n

An ambassador program has been set up around the festival. Visitors who actively promote the event can be rewarded through that program.
