Circoloco at the NDSM shipyard is the Dutch edition of the world-famous Circoloco concept, which originally began at DC10 in Ibiza. The name is associated with a series of house and techno parties featuring international DJs and a distinct day-to-night progression. In Amsterdam-Noord, this translates into a large one-day event on the expansive grounds of the former shipyard.<\/h2>\n

Since 2016, Circoloco has used the NDSM shipyard as its venue. The site is known for its industrial character: open spaces with views of cranes and warehouses, combined with large indoor areas that are used as warehouse-style venues. During Circoloco, all of that transforms into a dedicated dance area, with multiple stages spread across outdoor spaces and covered halls.<\/p>\n

The lineup focuses on international house and techno. The program follows the typical Circoloco formula: many acts back-to-back, few distractions aside from the music, and a progression from light beats in the early afternoon to heavier sets later in the day. The emphasis is on standing, moving, and dancing close together; there are no seats or theater-style rows. It\u2019s a massive, crowd-oriented party where the dance floor takes center stage.<\/p>\n
