Beautiful Boules has taken Amsterdam by storm with a formula that sounds simple but works every time: a few courts, good food, fine drinks and a crowd that doesn't take itself too seriously. The Houthavens are the newest shoot on the branch, with more space, light and views than ever.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The decor exudes French country air: wooden tables, garlands of light bulbs, a terrace overlooking the water. Inside, the boules crackle; outside, glasses clink. The atmosphere is laid-back, with the kind of hubbub that belongs to friends who forget to count the score.<\/p>\n

The menu is accessible but sharp. Think drinks boards with cheeses and charcuterie, hot dishes from world cuisines and desserts that are not bland in portion.
