Kwaku: From Soccer Tournament to Cultural Festival<\/h2>\n

The Kwaku Summer Festival, held in Amsterdam Southeast, began its journey in 1975 as a modest soccer tournament. The goal was to provide a fun summer for the youth of the Bijlmermeer who could not go on vacation. What began as a small event has grown into one of the largest festivals in the Netherlands, with some 300,000 visitors annually.
