The 53-day light sculpture exhibition features 20 works of art by well-known national and international artists. The festival is best admired from the water. You can do this on your own or by booking a tour with one of the city's well-known canal cruise companies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Disrupt!<\/strong><br \/>\nThe 2019\/2020 edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival focuses on Disruption. Several artists, designers and architects were challenged, as part of the Disrupt! theme, to interrogate, test and wake up the environment of the city of Amsterdam with works of light art.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New route<\/strong><br \/>\nIn keeping with the Disrupt! theme, this year there is a completely new route, departing from the traditional route along the Herengracht.
