Amsterdam's best Mexican restaurant has reopened. Rose's Cantina has been serving delicious dishes of Mexican cuisine since 1982, but the interior could use a refresh. Founders Jim Dobson and Daniel Uzcudum enlisted hospitality entrepreneur Casper Reinders to refurbish the restaurant.<\/p>\n
Together with Thijs Murr\u00e9, Reinders, both known for nightlife venues Jimmy Woo, Chicago Social and Lion Noir, designed an eclectic decor mixed with items from different eras. Chesterfields stand in an industrial space, soft colors are used alongside raw materials. Everywhere you are surrounded by bizarre art and empty bird cages. Funnily enough, it does feel cozy and cozy.<\/p>\n
At the front is the bar with a \"Tequila Library\" where you can sample cocktails like the Jalape\u00f1o Margarita. You can have a drink here before heading to the back to the restaurant.<\/p>\n
The menu is inspired by Mex-Tex cuisine, culinary influences from the border states of Mexico and Texas, USA, where a modern twist is indicated. Typical dishes like Enchiladas or a Roses House Burger are favorites. Or instead choose the delicious Ceviche, fresh fish marinated in lime juice and spices.
