Clinking glasses, rippling water, and live music that touches you - the Terrace Concerts are back, bringing an eclectic program full of acoustic gems. Under the open sky (or inside if it rains), listen to classical, jazz, pop or world music from established names and up-and-coming talent.

Together with partners such as Bimhuis, Meervaart and its own 4'33 grand café, Muziekgebouw serves up a lineup that will stimulate your senses. Think of the spiritual double bass sounds of James Oesi & Djuwa Mroivili, the crossover vibes of Woodcraft (five strings that transform pop into classical) or the poetic-Arabic sound of Jawa Manla Quartet.
What to expect. On June 30, Fatiha & the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra will open the series with sun-drenched roots music. Followed by Roza Herwig & Julius Backer with a journey through song history (July 1), singer-songwriter Roufaida (July 8), pianist Hannes Minnaar with works by Simeon ten Holt (July 21) and jazz by Rembrandt Frerichs & Efraïm Trujillo (July 28), among others. In short: no evening is the same.
"Sunset, a good glass in hand, and live music that takes you away - that's the magic of a terrace concert on the IJ."
Concerts start at 8 p.m., with a ticket price of only €16 (excluding refreshments). Want to reserve a table for drinks or dinner beforehand? Just do - and yes, even then you'll be sitting first row. Is it getting too Dutch wet after all? No worries: in case of bad weather, the whole concert moves indoors.
